Mechen 2, Sajbell 0: Mechen, perhaps energized by their tying rally against Matexipar, came out strong early and scored a pair of goals in the first period. Their defense bamboozled the Nor'westers all game long. Superior skating by Mechen didn't allow Sajbell to create much offense, as they didn't have the puck.

Menesanne 1, Lojren 1: Again, Menesanne found itself in a position to win, but couldn't convert on that chance. I am referring to the 1:36 of five-on-three action in which Menesanne had the five men. In a rare occurrence, two penalties were called on Lojren in the span of twenty-four seconds. Even with the two-man advantage, Menesanne couldn't penetrate Werner Blauvelt's staunch defense.

This is a double dose because of the printing press' failure and difficulties in recent days. Keep rooting for your teams, and as always, do comment.
