Brandy and Pucks, the Fourth

Brandy and Pucks - Full Table and a Poesy

by Kadmus Greningen

A third of the way through the season, and our City Boys stand atop the table, thanks this time to the brave defenders who acted as a bulwark exactly as Te Staff's curtain wall (now the path for the Loop Sub line) defended Borschland against the Loflinlanders in the year 65 of the nation.

Matexipar's Iron was not hard enough to break through, due especially to the toughness of defensemen Gerd Luppink and Rogijr Kelmenstremmer, as well as goalie Norbert Grimm, who has not allowed a goal in more than three games.

Poet Rachael Martijnz, who was in the Deacons Box on this night of nights, has contributed a short poesy to commemorate an heroic effort for the City Boys.

The snowflakes, this night, catch lightand driftlike lazy blooms in a shade-dark stream

The wind that comes with its Borschic thruma-bedit is, and all is calm, a dream.

But men who skated, all elatedfor youthand for the grandest, greatest prize--Excellence-- vict'ry too with knotted thew tonightcreated whirlwinds on the ice,and snowflake black

once swept in back(Sybrandy's smack)was all The City's sighs.

I haven't been able to keep up with this as easily, lately, since dance and studying have been takeing up my time. I see that Onatten has been doing quite well. I do hope that Wrischer overtakes them, though.
