Two games with the upland cowboy teams and two ties. So no decision on whether fish is better than beef as a diet for hockey players - ha ha. Not a bad start, and the game with Bjaward was terrific. Really too bad about Pfelward's sprain. I heard Ackervoort was pretty angry, though at the game you'd never have known but for set of his jaw and that grim line of his mouth. He'd make a good Finn.

Thank you for the input, members of the United Borschland Movement. However, if Reinhardt is thrown out, this will necessitate a removal of all players of non-Borschic origin. This would considerably thin the rosters of the teams. It's just not viable at this time.

I'm glad that Wrischer did well, and particularly glad that Kai Ganesmund had a good game. I remember there being some doubts about him in the beginning.

OK, Mr. Batchelder, I've got the first team item ready, but I will need an e-mail address to send to. If you'd rather not post an address here, you can send me an e-mail at erkiturkommen Aaattt yahoo ddot ccom. It's a cryin' shame that we have to cover up an address like that so vile contraptions can't read it and use it for spamming.

Is Reinhardt just like that scoundrel Dave the Hammer Schultz?

Bates Batchelder said...

In answer to your question, Kell, Dave Schultz was an "enforcer". He was a much more physical player than Reinhardt is. The nature of Borschic hockey tends more towards good skating rather than heavy physical contact, which was favored by Schultz.

Eggnog, I'm glad to see that Borschic hockey is appealing even to lemurs. A traveling dance troop, eh? Sounds great. I hope you can get newspapers even if you can't make it to games.
