Bevinlunz loses game, star

Yesterday, Bevinlunz lost their first game of the season at home 3-1 to Bjaward. But they lost something even more important in that game. While attempting to stop Jelle Sudmass from scoring, center Sikke Pfelward went down with what team doctors later diagnosed as a high ankle sprain. He is expected to miss at least three games. the Sudmass brothers, Jelle and Joris, combined for two goals and two assists.

Tarlunz 4, Sichebach 2: In a relatively sloppy game, Tarlunz prevailed by a pair of goals. Neither team played spectacular defense, but Tarlunz controlled the puck long enough to garner a twelve-shot advantage. Habel Baarda had two goals and two assists to lead Tarlunz.

Mechen 3, Domatische 0: Mechen dominated this game from the get-go, scoring just 3:16 into the first period. Wiebe Kappe had a hat trick for Mechen, giving this 22 year-old rookie an excellent start to his season. Lourens Nordhall was shut down for Domatische, getting just three shots and incurring a hooking penalty.

Lojren 1, Gottwrischer 0: Lojren scored the upset in its home opener. Klaes Diefenhoven picked up where he left off, scoring the game's only goal. There were many blocked shots in this game, resulting in a low shot count. Diefenhoven made the most of his four opportunities.
